Why pay by bank wire?

The legal and secure path to import your vehicle from Dubai

Full traceability

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between LC (Credoc) and a regular wire?+
An LC (Credoc) is reserved for licensed dealers and guarantees payment against documents. For an individual importing a car, a standard international USD wire is enough. It's simpler, cheaper, and accepted by customs.
How long does the wire take?+
Between 3 and 7 business days depending on your bank. SWIFT USD transfers route through a New York correspondent bank before reaching Dubai.
What bank fees should I expect?+
Around 0.5 to 1% of the transferred amount on the Algerian side (commission + SWIFT fees), plus 30 to 50 USD at the correspondent bank.
Can I pay in EUR instead of USD?+
Yes, but USD flows more smoothly for Dubai purchases: the UAE dirham is pegged to the dollar, so it's a single conversion. EUR adds an extra EUR → USD → AED hop with extra fees.

What your bank will need

Have these ready before visiting the branch

  • 1ID and proof of address
  • 2Our USD pro forma invoice
  • 3Foreign currency account or proven source of foreign currency
  • 4Certificate of non-import in the last 3 years (personal regime)
  • 5International wire request form (provided by your bank)
What if the bank refuses the wire?+
Very rare with a complete file. If refused, we help you identify the cause (usually a missing document) and resubmit the request.
Is this compatible with the 3-year personal import quota?+
Yes. A bank wire is the official path to use your personal import quota (one car every 3 years, vehicle under 3 years old, per decree 23-358).
